At 16.30 hrs on Thursday 6th March 2003 a member of staff of Henry J Beans in Manchester was robbed at knifepoint by 3 males. They made their way onto the concourse of Manchester Piccadilly station. PC Perrin observed the three males acting suspiciously and followed them to a black cab on the station rank where he confronted them.

On discovering they were in possession of a large amount of money he arrested all three males on suspicion of theft. Subsequently all three pleaded guilty to robbery at Trafford Magistrates Court. Greg is commended for his observation in the arrest of the three males whilst off duty.
