British Transport Police Superannuation Fund

Due to the forthcoming change of employer to a Statutory Police Committee the Ministry of Transport has proposed certain changes to the British Transport Police Superannuation Fund, these relate mainly to trusteeship of the fund control and investment issues.

Meetings with officials from the Department of Transport and the Management Committee of the Fund have taken place. Discussions will continue prior to the introduction of the Railways and Transport Safety Bill.

All aspects of any proposed changes will be carefully scrutinised to ensure members, both serving and retired are not disadvantaged.
