INTRODUCTION
This year will see a further attack on our pay and conditions under the guise of another Home Office review of the police service. The recent defeat suffered by the official side of PNB at Independent Arbitration with regard to the attempt to alter our current pay indexation will not be forgotten.
The move to Police Regulations continues with several of our conditions changing at the end of the month. We should have concluded the move by the end of April.
This year our tri annual elections take place. At times being a Federation Delegate can be a thankless job but it can also be very rewarding to assist fellow officers. I would urge anybody thinking of standing to talk to their Area Delegates to get a view of the role of a Federation Representative.
