Dear Mr Ferreyra,
The British Transport Police Federalion is the UK staff association for
British Transport Police which is the police service for the railway system in
England, Scotland and Wales along with the subway system in London - the
London Underground.
Our members were distressed at the tragic events in New York on the 11th September and I send our heartfelt condolences to all families of law enforcement officers who lost their lives in this terrible attack. Our members police the London subway system, which itself has been the subject of terrorist attacks and we as fellow police officers are only to aware of the horror and trauma of such terrible incidents.
I am sending a cheque to the disaster fund as a token of our condolences and our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.
