It has come to our attention that Force Management intend to write to individual officers stating their position in relation to the above dispute.
Our position has always been clear we have never refused to negotiate on any item, be it Police Regulations or Redundancy and Resettlement.
Nevertheless we will not negotiate whilst the Force withhold Police Reforms which you are rightly due as a stand-alone package.
They have stated this will be withheld until the successful (for them) conclusion of negotiations.
We do not submit to bullying tactics that are designed to weaken our negotiating stance.
Let it be clear we did not seek Independent Arbitration this has been brought about purely by the Force and Police Committee not accepting the Pay Parity Agreement contained within the Wright Committee recommendations of 1979 by withholding our pay.
