Discussion Document on the Restrictions of Pension Tax Relief

We have examined the discussion document issued by HMT / HMRC on the Restriction of Pensions Tax Relief. This potentially could not only affect senior officers but also Federated Ranks.
The discussion document centres on changes to annual allowances and flat rate allowances in relation to Tax Relief on Pensions.
Whilst at this stage only a discussion document any potential changes could affect Federated Ranks.
A detailed response has been given by the staff side of the Police Negotiating Board which can be accessed through England and Wales Police Federation website.
We are currently in discussion with Pensions Management regarding any potential issues.
