Taser

The recent announcement by the Home Office that Taser has proved in trials to be a successful deterrent to violent criminals is welcome but not a surprise. As a Federation we support the campaign to equip all frontline officers with this equipment and we will be monitoring further trials closely.

We have already requested that is there is a general issue of this equipment our officers are afforded its protection in the same way as our Home Officer colleagues.
