Judicial Review

We have been notified that the Judicial Review proceedings in respect of the Home Secretary's decision not to abide by the Arbiters ruling on last years pay award has found in favour of the Government.

Whilst the judgement recognises that Police Officers are in a difficult position over pay it shows that the Government can impose any pay award they wish.

The Staff Side of the Police Negotiating Board is meeting this Thursday to discuss the judgements implications and to review any grounds for an appeal.
